With decades in the photography and video world, Nikon has been my trusted companion on the ground—capturing everything from fleeting expressions to fast-moving action. Today’s mirrorless revolution has only sharpened that edge. Armed with the Nikon Z series and an arsenal of lenses, I can chase down the exact shot clients demand—crisp, bold, and unmistakably modern.

When the perspective shifts to the sky, I turn to DJI. Their drones and precision gimbal systems sit at the top of their craft, delivering the stability and cinematic grace that transform simple footage into aerial storytelling. For me, they’re the gold standard—and the key to creating the elevated, dramatic visuals that set your video apart.

Rick has lived, raced, and simply played across the sand, dirt, and asphalt venues of the United States, Canada, and Mexico—many of which, sadly, are only memories today. For decades, the roar of engines and the pulse of motorsports shaped his world as he worked deep within the photo and video side of the industry.

His passion for photography ignited early, driving him into an extraordinary journey across North America—one that led him from iconic off-road landscapes to high-speed motorsports arenas like NASCAR, and onward into the creative corridors of Hollywood. Along the way, he contributed his talents to documentary films, special productions, and a wide range of projects that blended adrenaline, storytelling, and the art of capturing life in motion.

His credits span work with local TV stations, sports magazines, ESPN, FS1, and numerous Chamber of Commerce media projects, and he sells his Nature and local photos as well. He has also contributed to well-known productions, including projects with Tim Conway on The Dorf Goes Fishing and Billy Gray from the classic TV series Father Knows Best.

With extensive hands-on experience across countless camera systems and creative environments, Rick is comfortable tackling any project—indoors, outdoors, or almost anywhere in between. He brings a unique blend of technical expertise, artistic intuition, and modern equipment to every session.

Now based in the Portland metro area since 2010, and embracing a slower-paced lifestyle, he’s excited to share his passion with others. His goal is to help people capture meaningful moments and create portraits and videos they’ll be proud to share or display in their home or office, or even share as a gift.
